Or maybe it's way, way down the product backlog list and isn't getting any attention as a distant priority to things like Spartan and Hello. Thousands of programmers doubtful, the core of an OS development team is usually a few dozen individuals, if that.

A few dozen people on the OS Development Team? Well THERE'S your problem! Get some bodies on this pig! :)

Why would the most forward facing, consumer centric feature of this OS (the Start Button) be way way down on the development list? That's MS's problem. Their management has no common sense. They obsess over the gee whiz and blow the basics every time.

I don't really see why they would be unable to create such a button. I'd have no issue with the button becoming physical instead of a silly capacitive thing. Also got to consider the possible battery implications for facial recognition. Having to activate the camera every 10 minutes can't be too good for battery i'd have thought (not that i know very much..)

If they bring Hello to the current Surface lineup, they must have a trick in their sleeves to bypass the lack of fingerprint sensor and IR detector. I don't think the capacitive sensor is that silly. What is silly, is the fact that users are not able to tune it the way they want.

I honestly don't see a physical button coming for the SP4. An IR sensor, not very much either.

But who knows. Again, I might be completely wrong.

Concerning the battery life, we'll see what they do. My old Nexus 7 gen 2 was able to do face recognition, and I used it a lot. I never witnessed any dramatical change in the battery life compared to the classical 4 digit unlocking method.

Windows 10 should not post any Notifications: "Do you want to enter Tablet mode?". That is worse than "Are we there, yet?".

Others:
- "Did you mean to press the Start button just now?" "How about now?" "Now?"
- "Did you want to rotate the screen?"
- "Your Caps lock is now on." "Now off." "Now on." "Off."
- "Are you sure you want to shut Windows down? Will I dream?"
- "Did you mean to listen to that Barry Manilow track?"

Okay, That one is useful.

"Hi, I see you're trying to use your operating system! How can I be of assistance?"

Build 10041 posted. You can download (I had to try a few times in Windows Update - but it's there).

"fbl_impressive 10041 Professional"

Apparently Cortana is expanding in new markets, like France, UK, Spain, China.

Why not in Canada ????? We are the closest country, but we never have the good features. Ever. I am sure people on the Moon will have Cortana before us. Same for the Lumia 1520.
