Hi Dears,

-I have Surface Pro 3 windows 10, always keep updating the system,
-I have noticed that Surface pro 3 wifi speed is less than other devices like smartphone and office laptop (while they are connecting to same WiFi),
noticed same issue in many different WiFi access points

-Due to above observation, I started to do hotspot from office laptop or smartphone to my surface pro 3 and noticed big difference in WiFi speed (althoug all of them using same WiFi)

*Any idea, what tis issue technically means?
**How to solve this issue, to have higher WiFi speed in my surface pro 3 without having hotspot from other devices

It's difficult to say what's causing your speed issues, but I would look at your Wi-Fi properties when connecting to your router and compare them with what you see when connecting to your hotspot.

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Hardware properties. You should see a screen similar to the one below. Please pay particular attention to the items in the red boxes and compare these items first by connecting to your router and then to your hotspot.

Example: If your router is configured with two internal access points, one at 5 GHz and another at 2.4 GHz, and your Surface Pro 3 connects to the 2.4 GHz access point, your Wi-Fi speeds may noticeably decrease. Connecting your Surface Pro 3 to a 5 GHz access point enables it to operate at Wi-Fi 5 speeds while connecting to a 2.4 GHz access point may restrict it to Wi-Fi 4 speeds.
