New Firmware Update 9/29

I also have Kaspersky IS in the 2015 version running under windows 8.1 and didn't have any problems installing the update, it booted 2 times so I think I got it installed.

I've tried it twice now and the firmware just won't install. I got back to back blue screens and then was forced to do a restore both times.

I'm running Avast and will disable it the third time to see if that helps.

Just updated mine today. Same old same old good WiFi speeds copying from usb flash attached to my router to SP3 from one room away:

Same issue here. But I can fix. How to do.
When it boot to recovery, enter UEFI setting (fn + f8. windows key doesn't do anything.) enter safe mode and simply restart. Now It should boot correctly.
Here it's picture that I have lestst Marvell Wireless version.
By the way. I am Thai person.

Just nature of the beast of Windows. Same exact hardware but different software configurations can make or break a Windows update. This is why rich people switch to Macs for personal use

Running Windows 8.1 here with only windows defender and no issues with this update for me. Only rebooted once as well.

Sorry to hear you guys are having trouble.

Got the update, when it rebooted I had no WiFi, rebooted and WiFi was back. Checked the update status and it said the update had failed. Now it can't find the update. I had Avast running when I tried to install it.

More than an update, an adventure....unplugged Pro 3 from charger to use it, it shut off. Turned it on, unplugged it again, it shut off again - did this several times.
What concerns me is if I put a backup image on the drive, it will probably install the update and start the cycle all over again.
Hopefully somebody will have an answer in the near future.
FWIW - OS is Win 10 RTM, I believe build 10240
