Does the Surface Book work with Thunderbolt 2.0?

Pardon the probably stupid question... Does the Surface Book work with ThundBolt monitor?

I have not heard of them adding a Thunderbolt controller, which would show up in Device Manager if there was one. With no Thunderbolt controller, not happening.

If the Monitor supports other connection types such as Display Port or HDMI you might get it to work that way.

Thanks. I was a little confused cuz i read somewhere that Thunderbolt was the same connector as DisplayPort.

Connector is same (as mini DP), but internals not.

If they were 100% the same then there would be no need for both.
