Why the different internet speeds?

Can anyone explain why these two computers, running side-by-side at the same time on the same wifi connection registered such different speeds?

It seems almost deliberate, but I can't find the cause.

What WiFi system are you using? The SP7 has WiFi 6 and a newer Intel card so I would look for a firmware update for your router/AP...

Surface Pro 6 on a WiFi 6 router...so WiFi 5 device on a WiFi 6 router on a "Gigabit" internet connection....I have found that sometimes my Surface Pro 6 will get REALLY SLOW download speeds, but when I click the wifi icon in the system tray and power the Wifi off, then wait like 30 seconds and power it back on, my Wifi speeds go back to normal. Still dunno what causes this. I suspect that power management is causing an issue by trying to save power and not providing full power to the wifi radio sometimes....
