Weight of Surface Book Screen

Anyone seen anything which indicates what the weight of the surface screen is when detached?

I believe they are being very sneaky and the stated weight is just of the screen.

I should slow down! When I first looked at the site the only mention of weight was the weight of the screen. They seem to be updating it a lot.

For comparison, the original iPad was 1.5lbs so just a smidge over that... not bad really considering how much of a better product it is!

Well it's not really fair to compare to a device five years old, it's not like this is is a gen1 surface tablet.

For comparison an iPad Air 2 is 0.96lbs or the iPad Pro is 1.57lbs.

I held one in the MS store. It's quite light, though nothing like an iPad Air (of course much bigger - basically same as Maxi Pad (oops, iPad Pro) except slightly larger screen.

Apple and Cooky Monster in particular must be feeling really sheepish about Maxi Pad. I don't know anyone among, even among my macolyte colleagues and friends, who plans to buy one.
