Vanishing Videos ??????

This is a weird one, since about June 20th, any flv or mp4 video I download and save, will play just fine until I restart my Surface Pro, then they won't play, and an inspection with a hex editor shows they've been filled with zer0 bytes. The header and video stream info is gone!!!!! I'm using Firefox with video download helper addon. Never had this happen on my other 4 computers. Only difference is I am using VLC player on the Surface for flv video play....

Are all the videos from the same or similar source? Are they being stored on your internal storage or SD card?

Different sources, all flv or mp4, storing on sdcard, but tried storing on harddrive, does same thing, really has me befuddled. I can close internet access, and play videos fine, but as soon as I reboot my surface, they're still there, but full of zero's!!!!!!
