Tapping the screen sound

This is possibly the most ridiculous question ever but I have to ask. Does the screen of your Pro make a hollow sound when you tap it in the center? I have an iPad that doesn't do that, but my newly purchased Pro sounds solid around edges but toward the very center it's like a drum. I'm wondering if the heat made it bulk in the middle or if the glass simply has a space there originally.

Yes it's a built in feature called the 'Hollow Drum Beat for Surface Pro', as Microsoft felt bad that not everyone is able to use the Surface Music Kit.

Sorry, but I think you have a problem with your Surface. Should be solid everywhere.

Yep ... no drums here either .... Your surface display assembly must have been improperly fitted or have some kind of manufacturing defect
