Power cover stops working when SP3 standby and plugged

Recently I discovered a problem with my power cover.

My system is Sp3 with 256G and win10 pro fresh installed. I have also purchased a power cover to extend its battery time. Now the power cover will lose its connection to the system whenever the system is plugged in and standby for a while. It happens so often that I have to reboot the machine 20+ time a day for my work. It is quite annoying.

surprisingly, if I leave the system unplugged, my power cover keeps its connection quite well.

anybody has some clue on this problem?

I would bet £100 that this is something to do with a grounding issue....does the Touchpad also give you problems (flickering mouse etc.) ???

Try touching the back of your SP3 whilst using it and see if this solves the problem. Can you let us know???
