does the sp3 have openCL support? i have davinci resolve app saying that its not installed or updated on the graphics card

Welcome to the forum

It sounds more like OpenGL. I have a customer who runs a ton of high end graphics apps on their Surface PCs but OpenGL requirements for only one of the apps won't allow it to run. The app calls for a Quadro style/capable GPU. Because they are kissing cousins (CL & GL) I think that's going to be an (maybe the) issue. It probably wants to see CUDA cores.

here is the error

I think that is probably the problem. Check the minimum requirements for that software. It's looking for a workstation class video card.

On my Surface Pro 3, the Intel Graphics information center states that the driver supports OpenCL 1.2. Maybe your situation would be improved if you install the Intel reference graphics drivers for the Surface. Do a search in this forum for Intel Graphics Drivers to find instructions on how to download and install the driver.
