I have one of these for my Dell Venue Pro 8 and Lumia 2520 and really like them. I wouldn't buy one for my SP3 because of the keyboard, but if you are planning on just using it as a tablet, it provides a good level of protection and is fairly slim.

Just bumping up this older thread to see if anyone has come across a cover for the SP3 yet? Is there any chance MS will create a touch cover for it?

A cover that magnetically attached to where the type cover attaches would be ok I'm sure. It's not like it would have the same functionality, and wouldn't have the electrical contacts of course. Folded over it would just cover the screen.
I don't really think a full cover that covers the back would be a good idea when being used, as it could potentially restrict cooling as the back surface acts as a heat sink.
