Due to the Sleepstudy report something is polling/invoking your WiFi adapter. Looks similar to the issue I had with Kaspersky installed, cause it's network filter driver was polling the WiFi adapter during standby.
What do you mean by?
IT WORKED!
Creating the report or working hibernation? The report shows a Connected Standby Session of more than 6 hours connected to the charger. As long as your Surface is connected to the charger it won't enter hibernation during connected standby sessions.

Creating the Report worked! Was always broken before. Not sure if uninstalling the VPN helped or whatever...

I'm fully aware that the tabelt does NOT go into sleep when it's charging...
But as you can see in nr.1, 7 and 12 it always stays in CS even after 4hours and no charging!

What do you mean by "something is polling/invoking your WiFi adapter" ? If i take a look at nr 7 (which is the longest 11h47min) i think that 2 minutes awake time are quite acceptable.

You're right it's acceptable, but I'm just trying to figure out what's going wrong with your machine. On my machine Kaspersky invoked my WiFi adapter every hour for about a few seconds thatway that it couldn't enter hibernation. Now sometimes my adapter is still getting polled by some applications, but it seems to be in a different manner, because hibernation is always working. Maybe you could try the steps mentioned in this kb article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2998588/en-us

Ohh... that's where you're coming from, okay thx.

I've tried these mentioned in the article, seems like i already have the hotfix installed, let's see what happens in 4 hours :)

I'm not entirely sure! But it seems like it worked!

Sadly i cant generate a SleepReport -.-
CS bug.png

i've tried a few restarts. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.
Seems like there really is a Problem with the " in the German version -.- GJ microsoft.

I prefer my batch script because it has a timestamp and is placed directly into the correct folder :)

The sleepstudy problem is a bug for the German language adaption of powercfg. With me it typically works, when I give a longer duration.

powercfg /sleepstudy /duration 20

Later it often works with the default duration as well. The bug can easily be seen in the xml output of sleepstudy

powercfg /sleepstudy /xml

This output is obviously used in an intermediate step in creating the html-output as well. In German language, the xml is not correct:

[...]
<Warnings>
</Warnings>
[...]

Qoutes don't nest like parentheses ...

BTW. powercfg /batteryreport also has problems in German language, it does get confused by German "," as a decimal seperator vs. Englisch "." and shows mW instead of W. Not sure, whether this is the reason for sometimes strange calculations of batteryreport. (I had written a program to transfer the xml output to Excel and then all calculations are reasonable).

powercfg /sleepstudy /duration 20
Das ist ein Bingo! Danke :)
Setting to 5 days worked. 4 also bugged ^^

Dieser Bericht enthält keine Informationen zur ersten Sitzung vom Typ "Verbundener Standbymodus"." Body="Die erste Sitzung vom Typ "Verbundener Standbymodus" wurde in einem früheren Zeitraum gestartet.
Translated into english for all people who don't speak german:
"This Paper does not include informations about the first session of the type "Connected Standby" Body= The first session of the tpye "Connected Standby" has been startet in a previous time panel."

So if your first session for the Sleep Report aka NR1 is a connected Standby it most like will cause this Problem if you have German as your system language.

P.S here my Sleepreport :) you can see it's fully working again. Link: http://bit.ly/1Ds5p3B
