Solved Windows Start Menu & Volume Control Opening every 20 seconds

Something running in the background on my Surface Book at precisely 20 second intervals automatically opens Start Menu as if you've pressed windows key and little Volume slider as if you've clicked on volume button top of screen. Volume drops -1 each time it opens until volume is eventually at 0. Any ideas what this might be? Does it in Safe Mode and Clean Boot so assuming this is a Windows OS issue perhaps?

Or touchscreen panel is defective. You should try to disable it under device manager and check if it happens again.
If it happens again you should contact Microsoft support.

Make sure all your connections are clean and debris-free.

I went through all input devices and as a last resort disabled my wired mouse and that looks like that is causing the issue. Very bizarre!

Yeah, it's very bizarre! Good to know it was just the mouse and not something worse.
