That's the old photo viewer, what are you looking for exactly? (don't mind the picture)

That is the photo viewer I want but can't have for some reason.

Any way to open images with the old image viewer instead of photos? If I use open with it just launches a photo print window. I dont want photos, just quick and simple image viewer and Photos slideshow sucks. What use is a slide show that I can't pause or skip picks etc without the slideshow exiting????

Settings>Default Apps> pick the file type and choose a new default.

The PIN bug is back....the fix was provided by Compusmurf earlier.... reposting:

To repair your PIN & picture password:

1. Open File Explorer and browse to this location:

C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\NGC

1. Delete everything within that folder
2. Go to Settings-> Accounts->Sign-in Options
3. Click Add a PIN again and set your PIN
4. PIN sign in should work going forward

Overall, I'm quite pleased with 10162. I think I'm here for the long haul now.

The only quirkiness I've noticed thus far:

• Inability to activate, but that's because the MS activation service is down for a few days.
• Live tiles don't work.
• The Store shows updates available for MSN Travel and Reader, but they won't update.
• PIN login isn't available and the fix provided earlier in this thread doesn't work for me (can't delete the files, not enough permissions).

hmmm, weird.... why would "open with photo viewer" send you to print...

Have you tried looking here or resetting the defaults?

Many apps still not opening in 162. People app and tapatalk among others. Any idea how to deal with this?

That is weird. As @MagicPoop suggests, try resetting the association.

If that doesn't work it maybe a problem with the Photo Viewer app, or a registry problem.

I found this registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts
from this post in Microsoft Community.

Funny I never even got it to work on Windows 8 or 8.1. lol
