If you are referring to the mini display port's screen resolution output, it's 2560 x 1440 on SP and 3840 x 2160 on the SP2.

you can do 4k on the original displayport 1.1a but only on 30 hz

Just been chatting to a MS tech who quoted this:

As I have checked my resources here, the maximum resolution that the Surface Pro will output at 60Hz is 3200x2000
