Those of you who are Wacom Purists and were dreaming of its return to the Surface Line have seen that hope dashed as according to reports Microsoft who owns 6% already has bought the rest...

This also gives hope for a Phablet sporting N-Trig Technology from Microsoft (1540 with N-Trig would be awesome)

I have long wondered why there was no WP with Pen.
Clearly Steve Jobs was wrong about many things ... Phone size - wrong, Tablet size - wrong, Pens - wrong, Keyboards - wrong ...

I read that article too. I have a feeling they wanted to ensure that they would still be able to secure the stylus technology for future models. So they wouldn't get screwed like Google when Apple went and bought the fingerprint sensor for the TouchID on the iPhones. http://www.cnet.com/news/its-apples-fault-nexus-6-has-no-fingerprint-sensor-former-exec/

They are in it for the licensing. Microsoft is doing whatever they can to generate ongoing revenue streams. Their whole model is changing.

WOW! I am no fan of N-trig, terrible experiences in the past on other devices.

But my SP3 has been relatively pain-free, so this may be a good thing for us in the long run.
