Re-installing biometric devices

While trying to enable Hello face recognition, I uninstalled Biometric Devices inadverntly. How toBiometric devices, widows 10 re-install them? I have Book 3 Surface with Windows 10 Pro.

Rebooting should fix that. Windows should detect the devices upon startup.

I have re-booted many times, but Biometric Devices still does not show when running Device Manager. Not to mention that I am still getting "This option is currently unavailable" when trying to enable signing-in by Face Recognition or PIN, which was the original problem.

Try downloading the drivers and installing them...

You can just run the msi and it should update everything.

You can extract the drivers from the msi if you want to try just installing specific drivers with the command:
msiexec /a msifilepath TARGETDIR=targetpath /qb

Thanks for the advice. I have followed it and downloaded the drivers (1.4GB) and installed them by running the msi. The drivers were successfully installed, then restarted the machine. But I am still not seeing the Biometric Devices in the Device Manager's list and still getting the message "This option is currently unavailable" when trying to switch on Biometric sign-ins.

Is the Surface Book being managed by your company or organization? There are Group Policies that can block Windows Hello....
