I do agree with what everyone have said about the touchpad on the new covers though. Miss having a smoother material, and really miss not having clickable touchpad buttons. Very hard to do drag-and-drop since holding down the virtual touchpad "buttons" require a LOT of pressure. Heck just trying to tap the right touchpad "button" is already hit and miss due to the pressure required and precise (but undelineated) area involved.
I also agree that the shallower key travel on the new Type Cover 2 has led to more typing mistakes on my part.
I guess I'm just sticking with the new covers since they're backlit, and supposed to be the latest and greatest...
