How to play mpg video on sp4

How to play "mpg" format video on sp4? I can play the audio but without image.
I have already download VLC and RealPlayer and which are able to play mp4 video but not mpg video. The most upset thing is I failed to down load video file (which is ".MPEG2" format) from my Sony DV(hard disk) with "PlayMemories Home".

Try mpc-hc:- Home · MPC-HC or Kodi:- Downloads | Kodi
I'm pretty sure both of those play .mpg files, or as a last resort try installing a codec pack like k-lite codec pack, I say a last resort as I never usually advise installing codec packs as they can cause more problems than they cause but it may be the SP4 is missing the codec for your file

Yup. MPC HC took over media duties for weird file types when VLC couldn't do 4k a while back. Plays pretty much anything thrown at it. Haven't switched back since VLC updated.
