How to Connect Surface RT to Internet Via 3G

I was told that I could not connect my RT to the net using a USB dongle as the machine needed to install software and it would only install from the App Store.

I have succeeded using a Huawei E355 Mobile WiFi drive and a data sim. The drive does not need to be installed as I guess it acts as a CD drive or similar.

If this is not news then please disregard it but I looked for an age and couldn't find anything on the net to enable such a connection.

You could enable your phone/ mobile device as a wifi hotspot and connect very easily. I do this as and when necessary using my Nokia 720 and the RT. The connection is quick and easy and very good. Just make sure you are mindful of your data limitations, if any.
