Built-in speakers not working

Hello,
I have a brand Surface 3 and I noticed the built-in speakers are not working. I went to check the default settings in the control panel under Sound and under the Playback tab the only option in there was for headphones. It doesn't even list built-in speakers, or external speakers. Help!

I had the same problem after upgrading to Windows 10. I found a link on one of the MS support sites to a .cab file that troubleshot hardware issues. It ran, said it found an fixed some things, and after a reboot the speakers worked again. Unfortunately, I didn't write down the site where I found the troubleshooter, but a quick trip to Google and you can probably track it down.
