I purchased a new-to-me Surface Book 3; I have had it for less than a week and all seems to work fine. I would like to know if it is normal that it will boot up when you open the screen when it is in an off state.

That is fine though you answered the question I was looking for. Microsoft didn’t know the answer, but they did want me to run a lot of tests fix the problem.
