Surface Pro 3 Micro SD card slot not working?

I have a Surface Pro 3 and just bought a 64GB Samsung Micro SD. The Surface doesn't seem to recognize the card! I've installed all the latest windows updates, tried restarting with Micro SD on but nothing seems to work! Any ideas on what I should do? Thanks!

Yes the card is working just fine in other PCs! Could it be a Windows 8 formatting problem?

If the card is working on other Windows systems, it's probably not a formatting problem. Try "jiggling" the card, sometimes they don't make a solid contact when initially inserted.

Tried that and for a sec it appeared as if it was recognized but then disappeared again! Anything else I can do? Thanks!

Try a different card if possible. There have been numerous reports of various cards not functioning properly with the sp3.

make sure the card is seating properly in the SLOT... sometimes it doesn't seat properly so you have to push it in good
