Solved Screen brightness adjustment from keyboard?

F1 and F2 using the Function Key...

When I press F1/F2 alone they change the keyboard brightness and when I use the Fn key with them they don't do anything.

Disregard - not FN combo my mistake - just F1 for darker and F2 for brighter - Windows 10 uses a volume like overlay to show brightness

Unfortunately, F1/F2 only adjust the brightness of the keyboard backlight. They do nothing for the screen itself. On my old computer F7-F12 were available for screen brightness etc. and on this one they are home/end/etc. and I can't find any combination to change the brightness of the display screen itself other than going into settings and doing it that way.

Weird it works on mine but my wife's SP3 does they keyboard like you are seeing...

Try Fn+del or Fn+Backspace.
This works on my Surface Pro3 with a Pro4 keyboard.

Good man. I was unaware of this. Works great on sp4 with sp4 type cover

Yes, Fn Del and Backspace works. Thank you. It's a neat machine but takes a bit of learning and adapting compared to a regular laptop.
