I hope this is not related to the same issue that the Asus VivoTab tf600T (ARM - Windows RT) has. My first one got this exact issue after 11 months. Several phantom touches that made the touch screen impossible to use after a while. I sent it to be repaired and Asus sent me a replacement (after a month of waiting). Then the second one developed the same issue a year later. That one is now unusable. I just bought a Surface 2 hoping to never again see any phantom touches.
