Windows RT will only run 3rd Party Applications from the Windows App Store as it is ARM based. It will not run applications designed to run on x86 Windows Computer.
You would need a normal Windows or MAC Computer, not RT, iPad or Android....RT is Microsoft's Platform for Tablets that are built on the ARM CPU (like the iPad).
Thank you for that I'm just not very technically minded. It would seem I have wasted my money as I hoped to use the surface RT to do my work for which I need the HMRC app. A hard lesson!
