Just smashed corner of screen - and it needed repairing already - what can I do?

I hope so, as wookiee is right. There is no way to 100% tell that is what caused it. Although the one saving grace is I sent them an image of which bag the pro was in and I have no way of knowing which bag fell from his care (I only heard it). If it's the same bag, they may try to help me out.

I've never left the pro out of my care until that time. I carry it with me at ALL times.

Oh... they are sending my original one back.... :(

Annoyed at two things - they said they would send a replacement if they found the battery problem was independent of the break (so something has gone wrong in their checking process).

And secondly, they never offered me the option to pay the replacement fee.

The rep I spoke to also said she would be looking after this personally and tracking it for me.

Poor show. Really makes me want to go back to Apple with their customer service quality.
