Windows 10 Preview on Surface Pro 3

Swiping in from the left no longer shows the miniature task windows, which in Windows 8.x was used to close apps. Now, swiping in from the left shows all running apps in a Task Manager fashion, and gives the user an opportunity to create new desktops, close apps, or give focus to apps.

The "white boxes" icon next to the Search on the Taskbar does the same thing.

Screenshots no longer dim the screen while taking the shot. No visual feedback, but the picture is taken just fine. As before, Images are placed in the folder .../Pictures/Screenshots

For those of you running Windows 10 have you noticed any changes with your battery life?

FAIL:
Cisco VPN AnyConnect. Older Cisco clients are fine.

I thought the older clients didn't work in Win 8? I had to hire someone to reconfigure my router when I get my SP3 because our existing Cisco VPN client wouldn't work on it. Had to use AnyConnect on it...

here's my first impression (Windows 10 technical preview for enterprise)

First of all, the marvell wifi driver is not installed by default.
I have a dock station and a new Displaylink driver is available for windows 10

I Like:
Fast, like windows 8.1
New StartMenu when i dock my SP3 at work
MultiDesktop
cmd experimental options


Dislike (yes, i know, it's a preview)
Home folder (pretty slow)
Pen click to one note doesn't work and i don't find the kb2968599 for windows 10
No battery time remaining even with hyperV trick



im waiting for :
continuum (so sad it's not on this preview, i think ill go back to 8.1 soon)

Is there a way to make all metro apps default to full screen?

Yes, you have to click on the three little dot on top left corner of the MUI App (btw, swipe down to close doesn't work in fullscreen too)

Hyper-V now supports Connected Standby in Windows 10 so that it's why you are only getting percentages...

Anyone know is dual boot W10 and Win8.1 possible? Also, if you install W10, can you go back to Win8.1 easily if you don't like it?

I'm tempted to try it, but would like to know any precautions, ie backup/restore, creating partitions, etc that would be useful prior to giving this a whirl.

Can someone do me a favor and check the metro mail app. Does it now allow you to change the font size for newly received email?

This is one of my major annoyances with the metro mail app in 8.1

And selecting Full screen
