I know you're joking, but on a serious note there is a legitimate question about how much power the Surface Connect port can carry. So it could be a limiting factor, depending on exactly what that amount is.

I completely agree. I think there will be a Surface Connect 2 port in our future since we now have two limiting factors that need to be addressed (power and bandwidth).

So, it looks like it’s been confirmed that the Surface Connect port can indeed carry 120 watts. So Microsoft could theoretically introduce a larger charger and essentially solve the problem.
