If its a tad wider I find that's OK as long as it is narrow to allow for a snug fit, we're about a week or so from seeing the first sleeves designed for the SP3....

That's good to know. I can wait until something better comes out. I guess the SP3 still hasn't been fully rolled out. I find it odd that the other processor options were delayed until August. Is the only difference the processor or is there more in play.

Does it fit w the type cover?

It arrived today, and I can confirm that it works fine with the Type Cover, and pen loop.

It's made of Vinyl, even though it looks like leather. Other than that, it seems to be a pretty good case.

So far the Platinum Sleeve for the Surface Pro 3 is my favorite. Got it at BestBuy. The front pouch comes in handy for storing my Arc Mouse and accessories. The lining is a plush velvet where the Surface Pro 3 goes.

That's the one on Amazon. I went with the one from eBay since it was free shipping. I'm not an Amazon Prime member, and I didn't want to pay $8 for shipping.

Tried this case, still too big

I ordered this and it's going back, the SP3 fits inside the sleeve perfectly without the keyboard and pen, with the keyboard and pen it's too much of a pain. If you don't slip it in the sleeve it works well just laying in inside and zipping it up, but then you have to be careful as you open it or it can fall out.

There is a 13 inch version available, but I am not spending $50 on a sleeve.

If you happen to search for it on Google, the new one will not show.
If you search within the BestBuy website, type in "Platinum Sleeve", and you will see the other models, along with new models of the sleeve.
