The corruption would not be a hardware issue or cause damage to the drive itself so warranty is not the issue here, the potential corruption would be of the data stored on the drive likely during write cycles, just have to clean the drive and replace the data/partition if it happens. Doubt you will have issues however if you only have one external HDD attached and nothing else power hungry.

THAT and a Xbox controller attached..so I should be good?

On another note, I hate Unisoft and its dumb Uplay interface. I got newest splinter cell on sale on steam..now uplay keeps restarting after I enter in activation code..smh

How did you all get splintercell blacklist to work? I got it on sale from steam yesterday. Everytime I try to log into Uplay, it kind of restarts the process again. Ill enter in my email then password. Then goes to screen for activation code. I enter that in. Then it goes back to enter email n such n again..lol

Probably, somewhat depends on how much the hub is drawing itself as well, but would expect with just those two you should be good to go.

Do you ever have any issues with your portable hardrive keep mounting and dismounting randomly at times? especially when on the usb 3.0 port? mines like to act funny at times...gets annoying at times...seems to happen more often when controller and harddrive plugged up to my targus 3.0 usb hub...I have Toshiba canvio 1.5tb usb 3.0 portable harddrive...

No, works great,my friend also it works very well,so if,seems to be that your hard drive is slower than mine,but for now all ok.
