I'll second the Snagit recommendation. I have been using it at work for many years now and it is wonderful. They have a version for both Windows and OSX.
Well, to avoid the inconvenience caused by the Greenshot, you can just turn to other screenshot tools like the Snipping tool or some third-party applications to save the screenshots to any folders you like. For more details, check them here.
