My son gave me a Surface Pro3 that had been dropped -- apparently from a very high altitude, given the extent of damage. I managed to get it working again, but it's limitations make it useless for me. It has no touch functions, thus requiring an external keyboard and mouse to use it. It is, essentially, a desktop computer with the limitations of a tablet, and I already have more desktop computers than I really need.
So, I was thinking about just salvaging it out if there is anything salvageable. The only candidate would seem to be the hard drive, if it is removable in a way that it could be used elsewhere.
Has anybody taken one of these things apart?
Thanks,
Russ
