Surface Pro 3 touch pad issues

I bought a new Surface Pro 3 with a type pad back in June 2014. Sometime in September 2014 the mouse on the type pad stopped working. I did the check connections to the type pad, I tested the type pad by replacing it with one that was known to work. That didn't work. I checked for updates and didn't find anything that wasn't updated. I did refresh it to factory settings and the track pad worked for about 10 seconds. I did all the steps up to sending it back to Microsoft for repair. Are there any file updates or other fixes for this issue?

No, at this point send it in for repairs...I say this as you did a reset to factory and still didn't work.
