SP3 Malware?

Surfing and Internet usage on Surface Pro 3 is deteriorating by leaps and bounds.

Speed and performance seem perfectly adequate but I get so many pop ups with sound its unbelievable. I can be working for 1/2 hr and all of a sudden advertising comes from my speakers- if I open up the internet links (not in desktop but where favorites reside) I have to close out the last 15 sites I had open to finally shut off the page that - for some reason- just decided to load up advertising and start playing. If I have music on- I get BOTH.

Even on this surface forums- I get a stinking popup that MUST run for 8 seconds before I can X close it. Half the time clicking the X opens up a damn add page.

Every time I move from one forum topic to another- the SAME add pops up and must run for 8 seconds. RELENTLESS I turn off the sound but eventually the footprint of the add is so large and the changing screens piss me off till I just leave.

Windows Defender finds nothing. Hit Man Pro finds nothing.

Is this, in fact, the new internet? Its like commercials on cable.

I had the same issue when I first installed Win8 and Firefox
Which Explorer did you download and from what page?

Try to uninstall the explorer, download it from a save page and install it again.

Have you enabled tracking protection in IE? (Tool, Manage Addons)

I only have the apps (IE) from the SP3 apps page installed.
I have re-installed IE once but its been awhile. Worth a try again- Thanks

Much like Malware it's a continual battle between the ad makers and the ad blockers. However, the big money in behind the ADs and Tracking. The deck is stacked and big corporate marketing is calling the shots. Google itself is one of the worst refusing to honor official Browser Do Not Track. Installing Chrome is actually subscribing to their game. Ad block is just a ruse.
