I have with my ISP 200Mbps down and 20Mbps up. On the my Surface 2 Pro 256GB, connected to my ISP local speedtest (speedtest.oceanic.com) I get 140Mbps down and 20Mbps up. That's right next to the modem w/built in 5Ghz wifi. I have a 2yr old Macbook Pro that's behind a wall and about 20ft away. That computer gets 195Mbps down and 20Mbps up. I have a iphone6+ and a Note 4. Standing next to the modem, the iPhone gets 45Mbps/19Mbps. and Note4 gets anywhere from 45-130Mbps down and 19Mbps up.

I'm now on fibre optic which nets me around 40Mb/s happy with that!

You lot don't realise how lucky you are....I'm 30 miles away from London and this is it...

PS. Can't see how this test proofs anything for Surface WiFi speeds though, it at best gives an indication of your brandband router.

Where abouts are you? I'm 50 miles from London! I'm guessing from your 'server' you're in Kent?
