It came free with my surface.
Yes, the keys have unexplainable dirt on them, and seem not to come off.



My camera flash over dramatizes them a bit, they aren't as apparent in real life.

That's a shame but I guess it's always the way with keyboards that light ones get mucky and dark ones go shiny!
