I got mine earlier this year and - touch wood - no problems either. Works well with the wifi at home and at work. Have not yet tried to pair it with phone though (that would be a violation of my contract - though I have my own opinions about the matter! )

Wifi got much better in 8.0, but when I loaded 8.1, I started having wifi issues again. I hope they are fixed by the time 8.1 is officially released. I was able to workaround the issue pretty easily with a powershell script that I execute instead of clicking through the normal wifi controls.
