What's new

PLEASE- post your serial numbers here!

Another update:
We have the first serials containing "43" instead of "42". I still don't see a proper scheme. Let's continue and collect more serials.

Where did you get lot 1436? MS store AU? How's the screen on that one?
That's the latest I've seen and manufactured a week ago.

I received a lot 1432 on the release day in Australia but sent it back for a refund with a screen issue. Waiting to purchase again once refunded.

Both from the AU Microsoft Store.

Lot 1432 was received on release day. Had no functionality issues, but a cosmetic issue, as the kickstand had a slight bow on the mid-left side that meant it didn't sit completely flush when closed.

Since Australia has no Advanced Exchange support, I purchased another unit (the 1436) and was going to return the 1432 upon receipt of the 1436, but my business partner wished to keep it instead.

No screen issues, or any other issues whatsoever, on the 1436. It did, interestingly however, skip over the pen and Microsoft Account set up/login, and then booted into an inactivated copy of Windows 8.1 on start up.

A "Remove everything and reinstall Windows" system reset fixed that though.
