I work in a hospital testing various medical equipment and the other day a colleague got his hands on a cardiovascular monitoring system... thousands of pounds worth of equipment. I saw him testing his heart rate so jumped over and asked him to put my Band on to see the comparison. I'm glad to say the difference in readings was never more than about 5bpm 
usually just 1 or 2.
Thought this was very good indeed and I'm glad I got to test it!
