Sure, less throttling as there is more SURFACE area to dissipate heat. You should also have zero issues with the pen. It works very well. I am at a customer office now typing away on my lap with my SP2.

I personally would change my SP2 on the SP3, new kickstand and bigger screen with greater resolution and aspect ratio is deal breaker for me.
But don't get me wrong SP2 is great, I just prefer SP3 form factor.

I've mentioned before in another thread here that my SP2 256 works wonderfully.
So much so,
That my GF now uses it to run her business.
Got her the Docking station the other day and all she needs is to get 2 DP 1.2 monitors and she can do everything.
Best part is that she removes it from the dock and brings it home.
Using another docking station at home and also using the DP to HDMI on a 55" LED smart TV.
Can't tell you how much this device has changed her view about these.

With that, I went out and bought another SP2
I purchased an SP2 512.

Can't say enough on just how FANTASTIC these Microsoft devices are.

I would stick with my SP2 if it weren't for the fact I need the i7 for my MYOB program.

I quite like the SP2 form factor and I like the pen better on the SP2.

Being a owner 2 and 3.
I think the pro 3 is great because of the weight, size, keyboard, pen, kick stand,camera, battery, look is far better than the surface pro 2.
I would return it and change because there are to many good things to say about the surface pro 3
