File History folder in external SD card

This is not the case. I have my file history on the same card that I have my 8.1 recovery image on and it works fine.

But when you first enabled File History, was the card empty of files?

Did you or do you have anything else on the card aside from the File History and the recovery image?

I enabled File history to the card which already had data(aprox 25GB worth) on it and it worked without any issues.

Its very odd but I can't seem to set my file history to the MicroSD card for some reason!

So spill the details... card brand, size, free space, has it been used in another computer, has it been used with a different OS, is there only 1 partition, what's the partition type and format? do you get an error or will it not offer the card as a file history location? what is the size of the data to copy...
what are the unknown unknowns...
