Connecting Surface 2 Pro to Dell U2413 Monitor

What is the best way to go from my Surface 2 Pro to my Dell U2413 Monitor?

I can go to
1 DisplayPort 1.2 (DP)
1 Mini DisplayPort 1.2 (mDP)
1 High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI)

My desktop computer goes to the DVI port.

I need to use a 6' cable if that matters. Wonder if Mini Display to HDMI is best so I can also plug into my TV if wanted.

HDMI may not do 1920x1200, so you want to use a DP cable (mini or regular, doesn't matter) for the monitor.
