Attaching the pen ... problem solved!

Added pix to my post on the other page.. great idea with the magnets above - but looks rather ghetto.

A black sharpie or a little paint and you might not even notice.
" you can put lipstick on a pig - but it is still a pig" Did you look at that thing it looked like it fell in a blender. I love the out of the box inventiveness to solve this most important problem (besides the kickstand) but it still is ruff around the edges..

Tony, You must have seen a lot more inventiveness and problem solving in ghettos than I have. Looks protypical geekish (not a bad thing) to me. p.s. I cobbled a solution together too, but mine is a little black silo attached to my porn n go slim lap desk. Now I would just buy the pen loop from amazon.

Leaving aside the angst, I was not trying for pretty.

As for clipping the case to the keyboard cover, I have done that too. Not so sure it is good for the keyboard and not a very useful answere whne I am using this as a tablet.

If I have time, there is a product I have that will smooth things out and cover the dried GOOP. I use it when I assemble plugs and the result is pretty enough to convince most that the things are made by serfs on an assembly line in China.

Of course a lot of this may go away when Steve Balmer announces the Surface Keyboard II. Also note the pen groove at the front of KB!

Why not put the magnets along the top of the SP and nowhere near the power outlet? I still like my $2 elastic loop.

I found a much easier way to deal with the pen.

Throw it away.

Lol ... I purchased a nice compact while cushioning sleeve case with a pocket that holds my pen, hdmi adapter, and vga adapter. Those adapters are also tiny, I didn't get official Microsoft adapters because they were bulky, so I purchased macbook adapters from Amazon

I actually also put a magnet on the left side of the screen. However, I find that when the power supply is not there, the MS solution works fine. This way I can aways put the pen in the same place.

Yes ..

If you look at my post of a pic with the KBII, it has multiple adapter slots built in!

Other features of the new MS KB

12hr battery that can also recharge the battery in the screen/tablet
1 TB hard disk
power supply (no need for a brick!)
4G hot spot (FreedomPop).
