Anyone carry a portable USB hub with their SP3?

I think its a must. I found a tiny and very portable Belkin 4 port powered hub in my basement and was going to recycle it, but thought hey, this is a must for when I carry my SP3 around. Because 1 USB port is very limiting at times when on the go especially for those who carry a mouse with them as well. I will obviously not carry the power cord around to the hub, just the hub but its nice knowing I can bring the power cord too if I run heavy devices off it.

I carry the cover and the pen and the Microsoft Wireless Adapter and that is it....

I have this 4-Port with me most times: http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00G92IZCS?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

I use a 4-port hub as well.

In my case, the main reason is because I use a fingerprint reader, so that is always occupying one port.

If your USB device has a
- Motor (such as a DVD drive or hard drive)
- Coil (such as a GPS antenna or fingerprint or other sensing device)
- Power hungry habit (dongle connecting to a smartphone is notorious for this)
- Charging circuit (rechargeable battery)

.. then you really don't want to tax your Surface device's USB power supply while connecting for data.
