I hope so, as wookiee is right. There is no way to 100% tell that is what caused it. Although the one saving grace is I sent them an image of which bag the pro was in and I have no way of knowing which bag fell from his care (I only heard it). If it's the same bag, they may try to help me out...
I am going to lodge something with the hotel as well and tell them to check their camera footage as I know where and when the bag dropped. I still don't know if they will take that as guaranteed proof. But I will try both avenues and see which one sticks, otherwise I am out $500
Well as an update, I spoke to MS yesterday. The rep was really nice and said as this was not my fault, they will replace it Free.
If... they find that the battery issues I was having were not caused by the smash. Obviously I know my battery issues were not caused by the smash, but it's my best...
REALLY unlucky here. My SP3 battery was degenerating badly over the last 2 months and was going to arrange to get it replaced by MS.
Well, today I dropped it (hotel porter dropped it in my bag) and the top left corner of the screen is smashed.
Will they still replace my SP3 - or now it's...
Mine has degraded massively - noticed it this morning when i unplugged and had one chrome window open and it went down in half an hour! This is shocking.
Anyone experience this on the SP3? When I am streaming 1080p video, the stream becomes choppy after about an hour. It's really annoying and happens every time.
This is when I am hooking it up to my 4K TV. Does this have any bearing?
I have tried clearing my cookies etc and no joy. It happens...
Not from what I can see: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msnz/en_NZ/pdp/Microsoft-Surface-Pro-4-Type-Cover/productID.326748000
Also, had a look at the UK site and, like the US, the SP4 and SP3 cover is the same price. Shocking.
Has anybody got any other suggestions?
I like Edge but its functionality compared to Chrome is lacking and it's really frustrating me. I have looked online and can't find a fix
Anyone experiencing these random crashes on Chrome? Happens more often during YouTube use, but also happens with anything.
I uninstalled my previous version and installed the 64bit version, but no resolution.
Firefox does something similar.
This has only been since the beginning of last...
I have the SP3 i5, 256GB, 8GB Ram. It's great, but if I had known about the S3 beforehand, I would have bought the S3.
I love my SP3, but the extra portability with USB charging when travelling and smaller form factor greatly appeals to me.
