Nice! Does it work for both your icons AND your open Windows? I know that when my Surface Pro 6 goes to sleep and wakes up, my windows are either resized or no longer in the order I left them in.

Also, you can run the Battery Diagnostics built into Windows 10 and it will provide an accurate reading on your battery's life.

I ended up getting ANOTHER firmware update after this as well as display and wifi drivers. See if any of those updates help resolve your issues. It worked for my Surface Pro 6 upload speeds.

Any luck yet? I personally have received several updates to my Surface Pro 6. Firmware updates, Display driver updates, Win10 20H2 updates, etc. Maybe one of those will help fix the issue? It sounds like a Driver issue, but it could be any of what SharpUser mentioned. I hope you find a solution.

Follow up: It's been great. I use my Surface Pro 6 for work everyday and it has been kicking ass ZERO complaints about being a work machine. I actually cannot understand why the enterprise doesn't use these more often instead of a full blown laptop or desktop tower. I even attempted playing...

More windows updates this time, but not Firmware updates....installing now.......

Day one down and ZERO issues. No crashes, nothing. It was docked so I will try out battery life this weekend to see how different it is. Great moment happened today where work required us to sign a bunch of legal PDF documents and they didn't want to pay for DocuSign so they gave us all steps...

Welp, so far so good. Update went well. Just woke it up from sleep and it's still running strong with no noticeable issues/slowdowns yet. Tomorrow will be a proper test to see how the new firmware/updates hold up.

Finally got the chance to use my Surface Pro 6 as a main work machine today. Ran through a ton of stuff like it was NOTHING. Made a work Core i7, 16gb ram machine look like an Android tablet that is only powerful enough to run mobile apps since my Core i5, 8GB Surface Pro 6 didn't even flinch...

Right, but I figure that if it lets you change out the SSD for more storage, etc, then you can own a Surface Pro longer than the usual 2 year cycle....unless you are really bad with tech and abuse it all the time....but if the drive fails, you just swap it out. Need more storage space? Just swap...

Now that the Surface Pro 7 Plus is out, does this mean that the Surface Pro will have a much longer lifespan than just 2-3 years before a newer version is made? I know the Pro X is out there, but that is still not a finished product IMO.
