Get pro4 or wait for 5

The new Surface Pro could use either the Core i5/i7 Kaby Lake Y dual core which is rated at 4.5 Watts instead of the Kaby Lake U dual core that is rated at 15 Watts. Lower power consumption means longer battery life. Also, Kaby Lake processors can render 4K video.

Whoops, my mistake. 97 was my grad year so that was probably why I put that in. :p

    New Surface Pro

Windows was called 1.0, 3.1, 3.11, 95, 97, 2000. Then they tried names like millennium, XP and Vista and then switched back to numbers like 7, 8, 8.1 and 10. Microsoft's marketing department has decisions, decisions... Severs are named decently like 2000, 2003, 2008, 2012 and 2016.

    New Surface Pro

Numbering distinguishes previous, present and future models from each other like how the Samsung Galaxy S phone series and iPhone do. Then again Surface & Surface Pro models are not released annually. I wonder what the marketing ploy is to rename it the way it is. I still prefer it being called...

I wonder why they dropped the "5"?

It would be nice to have all the features of Windows 10 working properly whether we use them or not. There may be other Surface owners who have this issue but choose to ignore it. Thanks for testing the taskbar method on your Surface 3 so at least I know it's not just my SP4 that has this problem.

    Show Windows Stacked/Side by Side

Well, for you Surface Book users there doesn't seem to be a problem but for us Surface 3 or Surface Pro 4 users there is. So I guess this is hardware specific to Windows 10.

    Show Windows Stacked/Side by Side

Hey, I use the taskbar method since Windows XP. The feature must be there for a reason and no one knows statistically how many people use it.

    Show Windows Stacked/Side by Side

What the hell?!?! How come the Surface Book can do it properly but my SP4 can't.....??? This is what happens when I try to "stack" or "side by side".

There’s No Such Thing as a Pro 5, Says Surface Creator Panos Panay

Let's wait until October and see if there will be a SP5 or not.

    Show Windows Stacked/Side by Side

I haven't installed some 3rd party user interface software. Are you able to "show windows stacked" or "show windows side by side" with your Surface Book? The Windows 10 build I am running is 10.0.15063 Build 15063

    Show Windows Stacked/Side by Side

Well, I'm not just referring to Microsoft Office apps but other applications such as web browsers, photo viewer, windows explorer etc..... Two or more windows don't "show windows stacked" or "show windows side by side" properly on my SP4. "Tile Windows Vertically" or "Tile Windows Horizontally"...

I can snap windows explorer to the left or right but MS-Word snaps using a quarter of the screen. I use the pen to drag the title bar to either the left or right but snapping doesn't work for top & bottom when in portrait orientation. As @Plantje pointed out the task bar option is what I'm...

    Show Windows Stacked/Side by Side

In tablet mode using the portrait orientation, two windows won't snap to the top or bottom of the screen. My resolution is set to 2736x1824 and scaling set to 125% so there is plenty of space to fit two windows. I don't think it matters what app I would being using to snap as long as it is in a...

    Show Windows Stacked/Side by Side

I'm in tablet mode using the portrait orientation. I don't have the type cover keyboard. When I try to drag either window to the top or bottom of the screen, the window doesn't snap like it would if I were using a mouse with screen in landscape mode. Snap was introduced in Windows 7 to utilise...

    Show Windows Stacked/Side by Side

When I have two windows open I'd like to compare them either side by side or stacked using the taskbar menu by right-clicking it. However the function doesn't utilize the entire screen whether the SP4 is in portrait or landscape mode. I tried this on another Windows 10 laptop and it works...
