I had the same problem, but worse... I could not resize the window by grabbing any part of the frame. I uninstalled/reinstalled Chrome and it did not change anything. I tried uninstalling the Theme I was using, and I was able to resize Chrome windows again. Lucky guess.

I looked at the manual install package and it looks like a huge pain... There is an /exe installer for the GPU driver but everything else is naked files. It'd be an hour of dancing with the Device Manager to install all that, and if order matters... I'll wait until it appears in Windows Update...

Has anyone installed the update manually? I checked the official Surface download page, and this package isn't listed yet. Is it available somewhere else?

As long as your vents aren't stuffed full of cat hair, your Surface will be fine. If using your Surface normally was going to destroy your computer, there would be a thread sticked at the top of every forum, and articles on every tech site. Relax and enjoy your Surface!

For the apps you list, the Pro 2 ought to be fine. Of course, a bigger screen can be nice, but I don't think you'll be crippled by the Pro 2... plenty of people were happy with them before the Pro 3 was announced. Fan noise and battery life are not awesome when you are doing intense things...

I just updated Chrome and tried the high DPI registry mode. It definitely looks better. Pinch-to-zoom did not work as expected, though.

That doesn't work for IE in Metro mode, unfortunately.

Has anyone figured out a good way to block ads in IE11? Since the browser won't take plugins, I assume I need to use the hosts file or some sort of proxy. If anyone is using a product they like, please post!
