Regardless of whether or not the hardware can handle it, the heat is simply unbearable. Based on the reading, it also seems to impact performance. Im just looking for the long term impact of this, what people think, etc

All the SP3s I've encountered have a ton of heat under moderate load at the top right corner. I have a laptop cooling pad but obviously doesn't help too much given that it is under the unit. Yes but there is a fundamental confusion there. That says Screen Saver = None. Why would the password policy related to the Screen Saver apply when Screen Saver isn't on?

What does connected standby have to do with screen saver? My screensaver is currently set to none.

The plot thickens.... My recovery partition is 100% free, so that makes sense that Windows can't find it. In Computer Management -> Storage though, I can't do anything with that partition (drive letter, delete, format, etc.) - the only option is help. What am I missing here? Why is it blank? How...

OK so I ran chkdsk /f, then was able to do this: http://pureinfotech.com/2013/10/19/fix-refresh-remove-recovery-windows-81-upgrade/ After doing that, refresh says "Some files are missing". I just created a recovery drive, and tried refresh again, but it still isn't picking up from it. Any ideas?

Grrr - tried everything here: http://pureinfotech.com/2013/10/19/fix-refresh-remove-recovery-windows-81-upgrade/ I get to the command prompt to create the recovery media. It Initializes 100%, then says Creating Snapshot, gets to 27% and says "The recovery image cannot be written".

If I try and create a recovery drive, it says some files are missing and to install my original media. How am I supposed to do that when it comes with none?

And I checked and I do currently have a 5.08gb recovery partition that is healthy.
